Coconut Blanket

Coconut fiber blankets, also known as plant fiber blankets or coconut fiber blankets, are an environmentally friendly slope protection material for riverbank protection. They are made from natural coconut fibers and PP mesh through mechanical processing. On the one hand, they prevent soil erosion and protect riverbank slopes; on the other hand, they enrich the aquatic landscape through vegetation greening.

Description
Coconut fiber blankets, also known as plant fiber blankets or coconut fiber blankets, are an environmentally friendly slope protection material for riverbank protection. They are made from natural coconut fibers and PP mesh through mechanical processing. On the one hand, they prevent soil erosion and protect riverbank slopes; on the other hand, they enrich the aquatic landscape through vegetation greening.
Characteristics of Coconut Fiber Blankets:
1. Plant Care: The appropriately sized mesh of coconut fiber blankets allows various grass seeds to grow vigorously, providing long-term insulation, water retention, and moisture retention for plants.
2. Windproofing and Reinforcement: The outer layer of high-strength PP mesh provides protection and reinforcement, effectively mitigating rainwater erosion of slopes.
3. Eco-friendly: Coconut fiber blankets are biodegradable and pollution-free. The degraded coconut fiber can become natural nutrients for plants, improving soil quality and vegetation.
Coconut fiber blanket installation steps:
1. Slope cleanup: Level the slope and remove debris such as stones, weeds, and branches.
2. Loosening the soil: Loosen the surface soil to ensure the grass blanket/seed adheres well to the slope.
3. Sowing grass seeds: Spread grass seeds evenly on the slope surface.
4. Laying the grass blanket: Stretch the grass blanket vertically. After laying, secure the connection between the grass blanket and the slope with U-shaped nails. If possible, dig an anchoring trench on the slope for further fixation.
5. Covering with soil: Spread a thin layer of soil evenly on the grass blanket surface.
6. Watering and curing: Water twice a day, before 9:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent excessive evaporation.
Coconut fiber blankets are available with and without grass seeds. The size with seeds is 2m x 50m, and the size without seeds is 2.5m x 40m. Using coconut fiber mats with pre-seeded grass seeds simplifies construction, eliminating the need for sowing seeds; the mats can be laid directly. This avoids uneven plant growth later.
Coconut fiber mats are biodegradable; after being buried in the soil, they completely decompose into humus within 3-5 years. This humus increases nutrients for soil microorganisms, improves soil quality, and activates the soil, promoting plant growth. When laid and integrated with the ground surface, it protects slopes, effectively reduces dust, and prevents soil desertification. Shandong Hengfa New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer integrating R&D, production, and sales, with many years of production experience. Products include a variety of slope protection materials such as coconut fiber mats, straw mats, erosion-resistant bio-mats, reinforced erosion-resistant mats, and vegetation mats for your selection.
