Three-dimensional vegetation net slope protection technology combines the advantages of geonets and vegetation slope protection, and can effectively solve the problems of rock slope and steep slope protection. Chinese name: "三3植谗网" (Sanwei Zhicai Wang); English name: WU.
Introduction:
Three-dimensional vegetation net slope protection refers to a new technology that utilizes living plants combined with engineering materials such as geosynthetics to construct a protective system on the slope surface with its own growth capacity, thereby reinforcing the slope through plant growth. Based on the characteristics of the slope's topography, soil type, and regional climate, a layer of geosynthetic material is covered on the slope surface, and various plants are planted according to a specific combination and spacing. Through the growth activities of the plants, the root system is reinforced, and the stems and leaves prevent erosion. After ecological slope protection technology, a dense vegetation cover can be formed on the slope surface, and an intricate root system can be formed in the topsoil layer, effectively inhibiting the erosion of the slope by rainwater runoff, increasing the shear strength of the soil, reducing pore water pressure and soil self-weight, thereby significantly improving the stability and erosion resistance of the slope.
Construction Technology
Slope Treatment: Clean up the debris and stones on the slope, backfill and compact the low-lying areas to ensure a smooth slope surface. Laying Three-Dimensional Net
(1) Laying: Lay the three-dimensional vegetation net along the slope surface from top to bottom, ensuring a smooth connection between the net and the slope surface.
(2)When laying the pre-embedded three-dimensional netting on the top of the slope, it needs to extend 40-80 cm, be buried in the soil, and compacted.
(3) Anchoring: Fix the three-dimensional netting from bottom to top with U-shaped steel bars of 6 mm or more. The U-shaped steel bars are about 15-30 cm long and about 8 mm wide, with a spacing of about 1.5-2.5 m. Use #8 U-shaped iron nails or bamboo nails for auxiliary fixing in the middle.
(4) Covering with soil: After the three-dimensional vegetation netting is laid, cover it evenly with soil until there are no empty bags, ensuring that the soil thickness on the three-dimensional vegetation netting is not less than 12 mm. Then mix fertilizer, growth hormone, and adhesive evenly in a certain proportion and apply it to the surface. The fertilizer is a compound fertilizer with nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium = 15:15:15 or nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium = 10:8:7 and organic matter containing nitrogen, with a fertilizer amount of about 30-50 g/m.
Hydroseeding
After backfilling, hydroseeding is performed. This involves mixing grass seeds (approximately 25 grams per square meter) with a growth promoter, wood fiber, fertilizer, growth hormone, moisture-retaining agent, and water in a specific ratio to form a homogeneous mixture. This mixture is then evenly sprayed onto the slope using a hydroseeding machine.
Covering
After hydroseeding, a non-woven fabric is used to cover the slope surface to retain moisture and reduce seed erosion from rainfall, promoting seed growth. Covering is unnecessary if temperatures are too high to prevent pests and diseases.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential after hydroseeding until the lawn is established. The non-woven fabric can be removed when the lawn reaches approximately 5 cm in length.
Slope Protection Function:
Three-dimensional vegetation netting slope protection technology combines the advantages of geonets and vegetation slope protection, achieving a composite slope protection effect. When the vegetation coverage of the slope reaches 30% or more, it can withstand the erosion of light rain; when the coverage reaches 80% or more, it can withstand the erosion of heavy rain. When the vegetation grows vigorously, it can resist runoff velocities of up to 6 m/s, more than twice that of ordinary turf. The presence of geonets effectively reduces soil moisture evaporation and increases infiltration. Simultaneously, because the geonet material is black polyethylene, it has heat-absorbing and heat-insulating properties, promoting seed germination and benefiting plant growth.
