Below are the most common questions from international buyers about our quilted composite geobag products. If you need more information, please contact us for a free consultation.
The quilted composite geobag uses a dual-layer structure. The outer layer is 200g green nonwoven fabric, which provides water permeability and filtration while supporting vegetation growth. The inner layer is 400g twill woven fabric, which provides structural strength and load-bearing capacity. The two layers are permanently bonded through a quilting process to prevent separation during filling and installation.
The finished bag size is 1.45m x 4.2m. When folded, it measures approximately 2.1m x 1.45m. Each bag can hold 0.3 to 0.5 cubic meters of sand or soil depending on fill density, with a total weight of approximately 500 to 800 kg per bag. The open side allows easy filling with an excavator or by hand.
When buried under soil or stone cover, the bag can last 15 to 25 years. For exposed applications without soil cover, we recommend a service life of up to 3 years, as the nonwoven outer layer will gradually biodegrade over time. The inner twill woven fabric has better long-term durability. For permanent ecological projects, covering the bags with a thin soil layer and planting vegetation significantly extends their lifespan.
The main differences are:
Yes. We offer full customization including bag dimensions, fabric weight (g/m2), and color. Green and brown are popular for ecological engineering projects, while black is used for standard protection applications. The minimum order quantity for custom orders is 500 pieces, which is negotiable for sample orders.
Our quilted composite geobags can be manufactured according to GB/T 17643 (Chinese national standard), ASTM D6693 (American standard), or any customer-specified standard. We provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with each shipment, including test reports for weight, dimensions, tensile strength and seam integrity.
The bags are packed on pallets for easy handling and transport. The quantity per pallet depends on the bag weight. A standard 20-foot container (20GP) can hold approximately 10 to 15 tons of bags. The bags fold flat for compact storage, which maximizes container loading efficiency and reduces shipping costs per unit.
The installation process is straightforward:
The entire process is efficient and can be completed with standard construction equipment. One excavator team can fill and place 50-100 bags per day depending on site conditions.
The standard MOQ is 500 pieces, which is negotiable for initial orders or samples. Standard delivery time is 15 to 20 days depending on order quantity and customization requirements. For urgent orders, we can arrange expedited production.
Yes. We provide 2-3 free samples for quality evaluation. The buyer only needs to cover the international courier fee (typically USD 30-50 depending on destination). Sample bags are shipped within 3-5 working days.
